Oil on canvas, 80 cmx100 cm, 2019

A Jewish child who is trimming his sideburns (peyos), a sign of his Jewish identity, in order to survive the in the concentration camp. A dog, a silent witness, is always by his side. The glasses are a symbol of the Nazi army, whilst the white scarf, both a symbol of peace and surrender, embodies the rescue of the child by a German soldier.
