KING FERDINAND

Hades, the god of the underworld and shadows, is the spiritual patron of the unseen world. Hades, one of the non-Olympian gods, is the one who holds the secrets and mysteries of ignorance, being one of the most blamed gods by Socrates. The chromatics of the work suggests the areas of Hades’ domination: Tartarus, the Asphodel Meadows and the Elysian Fields, at the same time praising the figure of the gatekeeper of hell, Aeacus. The golden elements are part of the imaginary of the unseen world, decorating the throne and the palace of Hades, the judge, who condemns the spirits. The work reveals the vigilante ethos developed in Greek mythology by Hades, hypostasized in a humanized expression by his love for Persephone. (OCȘ)
